Most “best software” lists for migration agents are written by a vendor, and this one is too: Centrio is our product. So we have kept to rules a reader can check. Every price and feature below comes from the vendor’s own public website, read on 18 October 2026. Where a vendor’s site does not say whether it does something, the table says “not stated” rather than guessing. If you spot something out of date, email support@centrio.com.au and we will correct it.
The short answer
- Established firm, settled processes: Migration Manager. It has been around the longest, says it is used by over 2,000 lawyers and agents, and its trust accounting is certified by the Law Society of NSW. It is also the most expensive by a wide margin.
- Registered agent who wants a modern migration platform: LodgeHQ or Centrio. Both fill ImmiAccount and Department forms and keep client money on the file. LodgeHQ charges per registered agent; Centrio charges one flat fee for the whole team and also runs an education desk.
- Mostly education, some migration: Agent Manager or Agentcis. Both are built around student applications and sub-agents, with lighter migration tooling.
- Australia and New Zealand advisers: Ezymigrate, which is built for both MARA and IAA registrations.
Feature comparison
| Software | ImmiAccount and forms | Client money | Education desk | Free plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Centrio | ImmiAccount auto-fill and DHA forms | Yes | Yes | Yes (1 agent, 10 clients) |
| Migration Manager | MM eLodge and Department PDFs | Yes, Law Society NSW certified | Not stated | No |
| LodgeHQ | ImmiAccount prefill; 37 forms plus ART MR5 | Yes | No | No |
| Agent Manager | Forms 956 and 956A; auto-fill in development | Xero and MYOB reconciliation | Yes | No |
| ImmiDesk | Not stated | “Money” module, detail not stated | No | No |
| Agentcis | Not stated | Not stated | Yes | By application only |
| Ezymigrate | Listed as coming soon | Yes, with Xero | Not stated | No |
| CRM 4 Agencies | Not stated | Not stated | Yes | No |
| Educli | ImmiAccount “integration layer” | Xero invoicing | Provider side | No |
“Not stated” means the vendor’s public site does not describe the feature. The product may still have it, so ask during a demo.
We could not include Officio: its Australian and Canadian sites both refused our requests when we checked, so we had nothing verifiable to report.
What three registered agents would pay
Headline prices are hard to compare because vendors price per user, per agent, per plan or by quote. The fairest test is a common team size. This table prices three registered agents, billed monthly, at each vendor’s published list price, excluding GST.
| Software | Monthly cost for three agents | How it is priced | Extra fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Agentcis (Premium) | A$90 | A$30 per user | One-time setup charges; optional A$500 setup service. GST not stated |
| Centrio (Practice) | A$99 | Flat, unlimited users and clients | None. Email and SMS pay as you go |
| ImmiDesk (Professional) | A$149 | Flat plan, up to 3 users | None stated |
| Agent Manager (Migration) | A$198 | A$66 per user | Card required for trial |
| LodgeHQ | A$297 | A$99 per registered agent, support staff free | SMS A$40/month; AI credits; document conversions over 100 a month |
| Migration Manager | $1,017 | $339 per licence on a 12-month term | $900 professional fee; templates add-on $1,800 then $50/month. Currency not stated |
| Ezymigrate | Quote only | “Scales with practice size” | Not published |
| CRM 4 Agencies | From A$3,500 up front, then A$600/month | Implementation plus support | Tailored quote |
| Educli | Quote only | “Tailored to your seats and setup” | Not published |
Two things change the picture. Annual and longer terms are cheaper: Agent Manager takes 25% off annual billing, LodgeHQ is A$948 a year per agent, and Migration Manager drops to $239 a licence on a 36-month term. Admin staff count differently: LodgeHQ does not charge for support staff and Centrio does not charge per user at all, while per-user products charge for every login.
Agentcis is the cheapest line, but it is mainly an education CRM. If you lodge visas most days, compare it against what you would still be doing by hand.
Each option in brief
Centrio
Our product. One platform for a migration desk and an education desk over a single client record: pipeline, subclass-aware applications, ImmiAccount auto-fill and DHA forms you review before lodging, client money (receipts, disbursements and reconciliation), a client portal, e-signatures, student applications, commissions and sub-agents. Client data is hosted in Australia only.
- Price: Solo is free for one agent and up to 10 clients. Practice is A$99 a month flat for unlimited users and clients, with a 14-day trial and no card.
- Suits: small and growing agencies, and anyone running migration and education together.
- Consider: Centrio is newer than Migration Manager or Ezymigrate and does not have their years of installed base. The free plan’s 10-client limit means a busy sole agent will move to Practice.
Migration Manager
The longest-standing name in Australian migration software, with “more than 20 years” in the market. It runs as a desktop app with a cloud client portal. MM eLodge automates ImmiAccount applications and completes Department PDFs, and its trust accounting is certified by the Law Society of NSW and exports to Xero. Portal data is stored on Microsoft Azure in Australia.
- Price: $339 per licence per month on a 12-month term, $259 on 24 months, $239 on 36 months, plus a $900 professional fee. No trial; a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
- Suits: established firms, especially those with lawyers on staff, that value certified trust accounting and a long track record.
- Consider: the cost for a small team, the lock-in terms, and the desktop component.
LodgeHQ
A cloud platform for registered migration agents, built in Victoria. A Chrome extension prefills ImmiAccount without submitting, and it generates 37 Department forms plus the ART MR5. It includes trust accounting, a client portal and e-signatures, hosted on AWS in Sydney and Melbourne.
- Price: A$99 a month per registered agent, with unlimited support staff. 14-day trial, no card. Add-ons for SMS, AI credits and high document volumes.
- Suits: migration-only agencies with one or two registered agents and admin support.
- Consider: there is no education desk, and the cost rises with each registered agent.
Agent Manager
A Melbourne product for migration and education agencies, with separate Education, Migration and Complete plans. It generates Forms 956 and 956A, signs service agreements digitally, tracks CoEs and reconciles commissions. A browser plugin for government forms is listed as in development. Records are kept in Australian data centres.
- Price: per user per month, ex GST: Education A$18, Migration A$66, Complete A$79. Annual billing is 25% cheaper. 14-day trial with a card.
- Suits: agencies that are mainly education, or that want an education plan at a low per-user price.
- Consider: ImmiAccount auto-fill is not live yet according to its site.
ImmiDesk
An Australian product for registered migration agents with simple flat plans and no lock-in. Agreements are signed and filed against the matter, and data is held in Australia with a separate database per agency. Its public site says less than others about lodgement and money handling.
- Price: Starter A$69 (1 user), Professional A$149 (3 users), Enterprise A$599 (unlimited). 14-day trial, no card.
- Suits: small migration agencies that want predictable pricing.
- Consider: ask for a demo of form filling and client money before committing, since the site does not describe them.
Agentcis
A cloud CRM for education and migration consultants, founded in 2016 and, by its own count, used by more than 4,000 agents worldwide. It is strongest on student applications, StudyLink integration, and super-agent and sub-agent management.
- Price: Premium A$30 per user per month (A$252 a year), Professional A$14 per user per month, plus one-time setup charges. 7-day trial. A free plan is available by application to startups under a year old and to non-profits.
- Suits: education agencies and international student recruiters.
- Consider: its site does not describe ImmiAccount filling, Department forms or client money accounts, which a migration desk needs.
Ezymigrate
Built for licensed advisers in both New Zealand (IAA) and Australia (MARA), with a footer dating back to 2005 and “500+ advisers”. It offers trust accounting with Xero and digital signatures. Form filling is listed as coming soon.
- Price: not published.
- Suits: advisers working on both sides of the Tasman.
CRM 4 Agencies
A Perth-based system for migration and education agencies covering visa tracking and reminders, course management, enrolment and payments. It is sold as an implementation project rather than a subscription.
- Price: implementation from A$3,500, then support from A$600 a month for 4 to 6 hours, or a tailored quote.
- Suits: agencies that want a system configured around their own process and have budget for it.
Educli
A platform for migration agents and CRICOS education providers, operating since 2018. It describes an ImmiAccount “integration layer”, Xero invoicing, an audit trail and AI case review, with provider-side monitoring of PRISMS.
- Price: quote only.
- Suits: agencies that work closely with education providers.
What about HubSpot, Zoho or Pipedrive?
A general CRM handles the front of the funnel well: enquiry forms, follow-ups, marketing source tracking. It stops at the point where the client signs. It does not know a subclass 482 from a subclass 500, cannot fill a Department form, and has no concept of money held for a client. Section 50 of the Code of Conduct requires client money to sit in an account that holds nothing else, which a deal stage in a sales CRM does not provide. Agents who start on a general CRM tend to end up with a second system for matters and a third for money.
How to choose in one week
- Write down your mix. Count last quarter’s matters by subclass and how many were education placements. That tells you whether you need an education desk at all.
- Price your actual team. Use the table above with your headcount, then add setup fees and term discounts.
- Shortlist three. Pick at least one flat-priced option and one per-user option so the trade-off is visible.
- Run one real matter in each trial. Enquiry, service agreement, documents, a receipt into client money, the application, your review, lodgement.
- Ask about leaving. Section 56 of the Code requires files to be kept for seven years after the last action. Ask each vendor how you export every file, document and transaction if you cancel.
For the compliance side of that test, our ten checks before you commit maps each feature to the section of the Code it supports.
